I was playing around with some more images I captured Monday over by the marine stadium here in Long Beach. Here's a dark, moody one.

Blue Hour At The Marine Stadium
Here's another blue hour shot. This time from last night, at the Naples end of the Marine Stadium. There were some semi-interesting clouds hanging about late enough in the afternoon, so I decided to chase the sunset after missing what appeared to be a major burner the previous evening. I found this spot with the bridge, and it wasn't fantastic as the sky never really lit up, but it certainly wasn't a dud, either, like the last time I went chasing the sunset. It happens. You gotta take what Mother Nature gives you when you're doing this kind of thing.
Turn the light off when you leave
I caught this during the blue hour in DTLB a while back.
Soaring
I found this old capture of the PO building in DTLB. This place just keeps on giving. I have several excellent photos of this building, but I still think this one is the best. I caught the seagull at the exact right time to capture not only the bird flying through the frame, but I got its shadow on the building, AND its reflection in one of the windows. The clouds made for some nice interest and contrast, as well.
I happen to have a sweet metal print of this available for purchase directly from me, too.
Semi-fiery sky
The clouds lookded kinda interesting around sunset yesterday, and since I had not done so in a while, I strolled over to Bluff Park to check out if I might get a decent capture, even though I've pretty much overdone that spot. But...it's the only decent spot like this I can walk to, so I've spent an inordinate amount of time there, photographically speaking. It might be impossible to spend too much time here otherwise. It is an incredible spot.
Anyway, the sky never really went off, so I certainly didn't get a stunner of a sunset, but I got a decent pic anyway.
Floating cargo
Spring has apparently sprung here in LB, but here is a quick flashback to one of our brutal winter days in February. Notice the couple toughing it out at the edge of the ocean whilst the container vessels line up awaiting entry into the LA/LB port.
Time is almost up
Today is the last day of special marked down pricing on some of the prints I have here at my place, ready to send to you for you hang on your wall. Tomorrow it's back to the regular price. Get one today!:

Valve
There is a "nature" park in Signal Hill where this old oil line valve remains. I don't even know if it is still operating. But what an amazing spot.
Big Sur Print
Today I sold this wood print of an image I shot in Big Sur. I got it printed at Woodsnap in Irvine. It turned out great (sorry for the lack of sharpness in this quickie pic--didn't have time to set up a good shot). The wood grain added some real texture to this one, making it certainly a one of a kind piece. I love doing stuff like this. Hit me up.
Thanks again, Larry!
Sunday Morning Coming Down
Ever sat on the ground alone with a lonely parking cone on a deserted Sunday morning downtown? I have.
